Summer Prayer Announcement
Magrib & Isha Joint Prayers
Due to the exceptionally late entry of Isha during the summer months in Warwickshire, [Rugby Mosque] will be combining Magrib and Isha prayers to prevent genuine hardship for our community.
- Effective Dates: From today (22nd May) until 31st July 2026.
- Isha prayer will be brought forward and performed immediately after Maghrib Jama’ah.
- Sunnah Prayers: Please perform all voluntary (sunnah/nafl) prayers only after both obligatory prayers are finished.
Islamic Justification
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) combined the Zuhr and Asr prayers, and the Maghrib and Isha prayers in Medina, without there being any fear or rain.” When asked why, Ibn Abbas replied: “He intended that he should not put his Ummah to hardship.”
— Sahih Muslim
Congregants who prefer not to use this concession are welcome to pray Isha at its standard time at the Mosque or at home
Please Note: There will be no Imam or led Jama’ah at the later time.
